A Healthy Lifestyle with Weight Control will Give You Peak Perfomance .

Feel Better, Look Better, Perform Better!

Conciously adopting a healthy lifestyle will help in achieving and maintaining peak performance and avoiding 'burnout' but with our busy lives this can be easier said than done.

We work hard, get stressed and with business entertaining can slip into being overweight, being stressed and unable to sleep properly. First, we must know the basics of controlling our weight..

My corporate life - before I set up my own business, certainly led me in that direction more than once. This page and those linked to it have been put together to try to give one or two pointers based on personal experience of how to achieve some balance in trying to maintain peak performance, avoid stress and have a healthy lifestyle.

I see it more clearly now than at the time.

Failure to perform at the highest level could rob you of your business or even your life. After our lives and families our businesses and careers are the things most important to us and if we are to be successful it follows that adopting a healthy lifestyle is desirable if not essential!

Ironically success can and often does bring pressure. As these pressures mount there is always a threat that sleep deprivation may affect performance.

After a stressful day some alternative activity is always a good way of winding down and freeing the mind from the mass of conflicting thoughts that can affect our ability to concentrate and function effectively.

What we each choose to do is up to us. We need to find what works for us. Alcohol and drugs are NOT the answer.

Some exercise and good eating habits leading to control of ones' weight and if necessary weight loss are essential if we are to maintain our ability to perform at the highest level. It pays therefore to understand a little about eating healthily and even how to lose weight.

Fortunately I now control my own time and usually manage to take Thursday to play golf and visit my elderly mother. (97years). Work does not really feature on Thursdays.

Maintaining good health also includes careful eating for successful weight control and being moderate in our consumption of not only food but also drink.

Being successful is not totally dependent on following an over strict regime and we are not suggesting that life should become any form of a drag. However it is surely desirable that we try to achieve peak performance by making sure we look after ourselves.

A pressured life can mean there is always a threat that self indulgence with food and drink may affect performance. It's perfectly possible to enjoy food and drink while controlling or even successfully losing weight. There are number of fairly simple things we can do to ensure good health. Relax, sleep well and eat using sensible healthy recipes to name three.
